Where Are Sóller and Port de Sóller Located? 

Sóller is located about 30 kilometres northwest of Palma, deep within the Serra de Tramuntana mountains. The town is surrounded by dramatic landscapes and can be reached via scenic mountain roads or by the famous historic train from Palma. 

Port de Sóller sits about 10 minutes from the town, forming a natural horseshoe-shaped harbour along the coast. The port area is one of the few places on Mallorca’s northwest coast with a sandy beach, making it a popular destination for visitors exploring the Tramuntana region.

The Harbour Promenade

Port de Sóller Beach 

Unlike much of the rugged Tramuntana coastline, Port de Sóller offers two sandy beaches located on each side of the harbour. The calm waters make the beach suitable for swimming and paddleboarding during the warmer months. 

Far des Cap Gros Viewpoint 

For panoramic views of the harbour, visitors can head to the Far des Cap Gros lighthouse, located on the hillside above Port de Sóller. The viewpoint provides one of the best perspectives of the entire bay.

How to Get to Sóller and Port de Sóller

Visitors can also drive to Sóller via the Ma-11 road, which connects Palma with the valley through mountain tunnels. The journey typically takes around 35 minutes. 

From Sóller town, the historic tram provides a convenient and scenic connection to Port de Sóller.
